I Poo in Blue

When shopping for baby diapers, mothers tend to buy products that make clean, dry, and happy babies. Let's just say Huggies took it to another level when they released jean diapers in May. For a limited time, Huggies promises "it's the coolest you'll look pooping your pants." Kimberly-Clark says to have already sold 2 million packages in North America. Pretty good eh? Keegan Coulter, Brand Manager at Huggies says the jean diapers are "doing fantastic."

How is P&G going to compete? They already had some issues with their Pampers Dry Max diapers. Associated Press worked on a story about Consumer Product Safety Commission investigating complaints made by parents saying the diapers gave their baby's rashes. Already being criticized on social media, this story would take it to local tv.

I haven't seen a baby yet in these diapers but I hope I get that chance. I've seen them in diapers with little cartoons or designs but never a denim look. Check out JWT's commercial for the jeans. Click Me!

But now it gets me wondering is this really for children or something adults to enjoy? but I guess if you have to poop your pants at least look cute doing it.

Coffee Making for Dummies

Today my boss had an important meeting in the conference room and asked me to make coffee for the attendees. I said sure even though I've never made coffee before. How hard can it be?

Well my boss came back for the coffee and saw that I was struggling to make it. He checks it out and told me  I forgot to add water. Talk about simple and stupid! Gosh I was so embarrassed. The boss-man had to make coffee for his own meeting!

I pretty much knew all the basics like 1. pull the top and take the old filter and coffee out 2. add a new filter and ground coffee then snap the top back in 3. press start! Well I missed a couple of steps and figured/ hoped that I wasn't the only person who didn't know.

So here are the real directions to brewing coffee in a drip coffee maker:

  1. Remove the carafe and swing out the basket (whats a carafe? I have no idea!)
  2. Place a filter in the basket and add ground coffee. Approximately one heaping tablespoon of ground coffee for every cup of coffee you want to make.
  3. Swing the back basket into place, and fill the reservoir with water. Approximately one cup of water for each cup of coffee you want to make.
  4. Place the carafe back into the machine and turn it on. (it must be the pot. why can't they just say pot? I've never heard someone say carafe)
  5. Coffee should be brewing!! *crossing fingers*
  6. Enjoy!!
  7. keep the carafe in the machine to keep warm but not to long so that it gets bitter

With having coffee on every corner this probably isn't important information. But to avoid my situation, I would learn it just in case!

The Man I Want My Man to Smell Like is Leaving

"Well friends like all great things, this too must end" says actor Isaiah Mustafa of Old Spice (what a hottie). The man your man could smell like gives a farewell to all his fans on Youtube.  Old Spice took over social media when they allowed anyone to comment and ask questions to Mustafa. Around 184 responses were made to bloggers, twitterers, and youtubers who contacted Old Spice. Even celebs like Perez Hilton and Demi Moore had to participate!

This was probably one of the best social media campaigns ever.   Wieden + Kennedy pulled this off perfectly and the content was never lacking. Fans do not want to see this go but as Mustafa says "I am just one ridiculously handsome man. I can't write to everyone."

Argentina! First Country in Latin America for Same Sex Marriage

In Buenos Aires, Argentina on Wednesday
July 14, 2010, the proposal for gay marriage was approved. It was a long battle but supporters of the bill won. Both sides rallied and demonstrated outside Congress until the decision for same sex marriage was made (Around 16 hours long!!). This approval will grant all married gays and lesbians the same rights as any heterosexual marriage. Civil unions have been allowed in some states in Mexico and legalized in Uruguay. Its not just about civil union in Argentina! They can also adopt children and inherit wealth.

Now not all lesbians and gays can hop on a plane and get married in Argentina.

"Argentine wedding plans, since only permanent residents and citizens can wed in the country, and such paperwork can take years to obtain. While it makes some amendments to the civil code, many other aspects of family law will have to be changed." says The Huffington Pos

Congratulations to Argentina for recognizing equality. You have much to celebrate!
