It's Here. It's Here!! Verizon Rolls Out with Apple iPhone
The long awaited announcement at the Verizon press conference was today at 11:00 am eastern in NYC. February 3rd Verizon customers will get first dibs on the iPhone 4 and later will be available to the public February 10, 2011.
Tim Cook, Apple's COO joined Verizon's CEO, Lowell McAdam and announced the new partnership, saying, “We’re incredibly pleased to give Verizon’s customers the choice we’ve been waiting for.”
I of course was not there but read Engadget, which gave us a live feed of the event. One thing I read and wasn't too happy about was that Verizon's iPhone will be a different device. CDMA is what they call it. During the questions portion of the conference, Ars Technica asked, "what happens when you're on a call and need to use data?"Dan Dee replied "Same as a CDMA device." That means we can't :( a CDMA device will not allow us to be on a call and use data at the same time. But Verizon will be able to use their iPhone as a hot spot ( I don't know what that means yet, I'm technologically challenged). Obviously there will be differences between AT&T and Verizon's iPhone, each having advantages and disadvantages.
Engadget was kind enough to break down the differences between the two phones:
AT&T Verizon
Since I am already an existing Verizon customer, I will be pre ordering the iPhone because I am so ready to get rid of my horrible Blackberry! Not sure what this means for Blackberry, Androids, and AT&T but I'm sure its not good. I on the other hand am very excited to get my hands on it, along with many other people.

Resolutions. Changes.
Hope everyone had a wonderful New Years. I spent it in New York with great friends and has a blast!! (all booze and cover under $30. Life of a post grad). But now that the party is over, drinks have stopped pouring, and reality kicks back in, I have to think about my future. This is when my heart beats 5x faster, my palms get sweaty, and I can't sit still. I get that crazy! My procrastination and fear of growing up has led to this consistent anxiety attack.
Just typing this post has got me shivering at my desk and breaking sweat. I can't keep doing this. So tonight I'm not going out (note that its Friday!), I will be at home revamping my resume and getting my adult life started. No more of that "shop til you drop" or "I'll worry about that later" mentality! Since the Advertising biz is a no go (thank you economy!) I need to make new plans and goals. Soon I will be 24 and before that I NEED to be in New York and working for a company I love and see myself in for 5 yrs+, not just to pay the bills and eat.
I deserve this, I need this. I can't do anything less!

3 Blogging Mistakes to Avoid | TalentZoo.com
A few months ago I was asked by my team to take the handle for all social media tools associated with our company, mainly our Linkedin, Facebook, and Twitter accounts. Thankfully not a blog because a blog itself is its own job. But as I was doing some research on social media I ran across this article on Talent Zoo which got me thinking about my own blog. 3 Blogging Mistakes to Avoid | TalentZoo.com
It showed me my faults as a blogger and helped me focus on whats important. Here are some things that I have learned:

"I am on a Horse ....Cow"
| via Adfreak |
I don't know if I told you this but I was obsessed with the Old Spice campaign with Isaiah Mustafa. Now Sesame Street came with their own version. It is just too cute and Grover teaches children about the word "on." Now can you see the influence Advertising has on us, our children, and culture.
A-Freakin-Mazing! gotta love the world of Advertising.
